Berlin: Fundraising strategies for non-profit projects (workshop) @ Berlin | Nürnberg | Bayern | Deutschland

While trust-fund babies, Instagram influencers, and climate deniers always have someone to turn to for cash, for the rest of us, bringing our projects to reality means spending weeks and months raising the money. That’s why we are putting together a one-day workshop with a German expert to get you schooled in the ABC of fundraising for non-profit projects.

We promise, this will be your most profitable Saturday of 2019.

The workshop „Fundraising in Germany: Strategies for NGO representatives and social entrepreneurs“ is designed to train non-profit project managers (NGOs), social entrepreneurs, conference organizers, members of social clubs, community organizers and artists everything one needs to know about fundraising in Germany.

The workshop sessions focus on developing practical skills and address the following topics:

– accounting basics and legal considerations
– publicly available fundraising tools and resources
– pitching to sponsors and crafting sponsorship opportunities
– identifying decision-makers and communicating with stakeholders
– developing project pitches and support packages
– common fundraising mistakes and misconceptions

Workshop participants will be introduced to key fundraising concepts and methodologies, find out about the specifics of working with governmental programs, commercial companies and individual donors, hear case studies of successfully implemented projects. After the workshop you will have custom-fit tips and methods for successfully fundraising your favourite project!

### Lecturer ###
The workshop is facilitated by Susanne Kitlinski, the founder of https://opensustain.com/ consultancy and a business coach with a knack for breaking down complex concepts into accessible visuals and simple ideas. S.Kitlinski has successfully executed many large-scale, international projects in collaboration with the private sector and public organizations, in the field of education and culture, in international and regional settings. More recently, she is busy training project managers wishing to succeed while enhancing social good and upholding personal values.

### Evening speaker ###
After the workshop you will also have an opportunity to meet and talk to Ana María Álvarez Monge, founder and CEO of https://www.migrationhub.network/, a network of migrant entrepreneurs and social projects working with migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. A migrant herself from Costa Rica, Ana is a coach and university lecturer in social entrepreneurship, a consultant in topics around migration, social innovation and a mentor of migrant entrepreneurs.
